2. How long does sharpening take?
- Mobile (Local Utah only): Done on-site during your
appointment. - Drop-Off: Usually within 1–2 business days, sometimes
same day. - Mail-In (Nationwide): Typical turnaround is 10-14 days,
including shipping time. Biggest factor is the type of
shipping that you choose.
3. Do you repair broken or damaged blades?
Yes! We can often fix chipped tips, bent edges, and minor damage. If it’s something more extensive, reach out and we’ll let you know what’s possible.
4. How much does sharpening cost?
Pricing starts at $7 per knife, $9 for garden tools, and $10 for scissors. Full service and price list available [here].
5. How often should I sharpen my tools?
- Kitchen knives: every 6–12 months depending on use.
- Salon/barber shears: every 3–6 months for best
performance. - Garden tools: once per season or as needed.
6. Do you offer services for businesses?
Yes, we regularly sharpen for salons, barbershops, pet groomers, restaurants, and landscapers. Whether it’s a one-time need or regular maintenance, we can help.
7. How does the mail-in service work?
Download our Mail-In Form, which includes all the details and info you’ll need to know, package your items securely, and ship them to us. We’ll sharpen and return them quickly.
8. Is shipping included in the mail-in service?
Customers are responsible for shipping both ways. You’ll pay to ship items to us, and we’ll cover return shipping up front. Once your tools are sharpened, we’ll send an invoice for the return shipping cost. Simple and straightforward.
9. Do you sharpen serrated knives or specialty blades?
Yes, including serrated knives, cleavers, pizza cutters, and more.
10. How do I know if my tools need sharpening?
If your knife crushes instead of slicing, or your shears pull instead of cutting smoothly, it’s time.
